This buck, named Goliath, is a captive deer from a
pen in Pennsylvania with a very interesting story featured in November
      issue of North American Whitetail.
The 3rd fall of his life, the owners were clearly
able to count 28 points that measured 230 B&C points and was one of
highest scoring 2 1/2 year old bucks ever recorded.
He was stolen from the pen to the horror of his
owners in October of 1999 and was not found until July, 2003.
Goliath weighs an estimated 375 pounds.  Early
estimates put the number of scorable points on this rack at "50 to 60".
Many experts say he would easily beat the world record of 333 7/8 Boone &
Crockett points.  Of course, as a captive deer, he's ineligible for
      B&C entry.
What's your take on this amazing buck?  Should
he be regarded as a "world record" even though he's not a wild deer?
What, if anything, can he teach us about the species?  You can go to
