Randy & 4 month old daughter, Harlie Hendon of Jackson,
MS picture with Randy's 1st turkey, a nice Tom taken in Copiah County. This is his wife's account of the hunt: He
killed it, April 5, 2004, in Crystal Springs on his dad's land. One of
the horses was coming to check out his decoys the same time the turkey was
coming. It was like a race to see which one got there first; made it even
more exciting for him. When he came home, he made me wake the baby up
and dress her in her camo to take a picture with her daddy and his first
turkey. He was so funny. Then he went to a friends to show it off and learn
how to clean it. 18 pounds, 1 1/4" spurs, 10 1/2" beard.
Measured over and over again. (heeheehee) He almost didn't even go this
morning, because he has Harlie on Monday's when I work, but I told him she
would sleep today since she was up all night and he should go. He was very
glad he did. Needless to say. this is his third year to turkey hunt,
but his very first turkey. Guess we're a little slow doing everything (took
them 10 years to have their only child, Harlie). (heeheehee)
Anyway, the website is great! He saw the one with the little six year
old and her brother and got so excited! He can't wait to take Harlie.
Hope she likes to hunt. |
