Tracy Laird of Natchez, MS, is
pictured with his magnificent buck which scored well above
the 204 0/8 current Mississippi non-typical archery record. The
buck was taken on October 21, 2003. He has 27 actual points, but
Pope & Young givex credit for 24 since it is so palmated.
He looks like a main frame 8 point with a lot of
"trash". His live weight was estimated to be 260-270
lbs, bottoming out the scale at 225 lbs. with his head still dragging the
ground. "Official" Pope & Young Score: 24 scoreable points.
Scores 252 3/8 gross and 236 1/8 net. Once he's officially entered
into the State records, he'll be the new #1 archery non-typical.
This deer has been accepted in the record book by Pope & Young.
Below are pictures of the deer after mounting.
