On 12-29-03 @ 5:15 pm, Trent Moore, 9 years old, killed his 1st buck (9point, 215lbs.) with a .243 single shot rifle in Noxapater, MS  Trent told his dad, "Daddy, I was just sitting there and I heard something.  I looked to my left, a doe walked into the green field about 10 steps from me, and then the big buck was following her.  I waited untill he stopped and then I shot." Despite the pain that he was in from the scope hitting him in the nose when he shot, it did not bother him very much. The buck scored 115 6/8 in the youth big buck contest in Quitman, MS.
