This is Chase Carver, nine years old, from Brookhaven, MS with his Grandfather, Larry J Williamson,after having just taken his first deer. The doe was killed Saturday, November 14th at about 4:30 pm, in the New Zion community of Lawrence County. Chase used a single shot youth model 243. They watched the deer for about 20 minutes - a VERY long time for a nine year old - Chase told his Pap-paw he did not know if his heart was beating that hard or if we were having an earthquake!!
