Kevin Smith killed this boar on Oct 9^th in Claiborne County. This is his second hog so far this year since October and hopes there will be several more.

Kevin was hunting near the river and about 5:15 pm when he spotted a doe coming by him. He noticed her watching behind her, and then heard something grunting. Here came the boar actually running the deer away from the acorns & pecan trees. Kevin thought for a second and decided hog tasted better than deer so he shot the boar about 5ft from the stand. 

Thanks to the help of his friends, he found it shortly after dark as the boar had run only about 75 yd.  He weighed approximately 145#’s.
