Chad James wrote, "I lucked up on this one.  He was fighting in some thick brush with another buck over a doe and they other buck and doe left him and he started making a scrape and that's when he caught my attention. He was roughly 20 yd from me, but never saw me.  I took a couple steps and saw his antlers, then took a couple more steps and saw his body.  I put my gun up got him in my scope and got a little excited so I let my gun down a minute and calmed down and got him in my cross hairs and shot a perfect shot, but he ran about 60 yd. and that's where I recovered him. He had a 15 1/4 in spread. Glory be to GOD."
