Chris Douglas of Bogue Chitto, MS harvested this buck on Dec 31, 2010 in Claiborne County. Chris told this story about his hunt, "When I left my house that day I knew that it wasn’t going to be the ideal hunting weather that we all like, But, I did know that the rut was on in Claiborne county.  After sitting in my box stand for an hour and ½ through a tornado and a hail storm I said dear Lord if you will stop the rain for just a minute, I will leave mother nature and you alone!  That’s when I looked across the field through the rain and saw a doe coming into view and right behind her was this buck on her trail.  One shot later I was tromping through the rain and the mud looking for him.  Thank God he didn’t make it far and piled up 75 yards from the field."
