Two hunts made by Daniel Cline of Olive Branch, MS.

Daniel wrote, "I started hunting, as I always do, opening day Bow season in MS, TN and opening week in Indiana missed three deer one was a very nice 10 point.

So this is the end of a dry spell for me.

The buck I got was on a trip to Indiana, Muzzleloader hunt Dec 4th 2010. 10 pts with 2 stickers in MS we call 'em points, but not in Indiana.  5"-6" snow very cold, 2nd to last morning there.

Saw him about 100 yd out and looked to be coming down the same trail as the does and an earlier 8 pt but he turned at about 75 yd in the other direction from my stand. I grunted at him and no response so I grunted real hard and loud  that was enough to get him to turn kind of towards my direction when he got about 60 yd I shot him and saw nothing but snow and smoke. I thought for sure he went straight down so I took my time reloaded got all my gear up climbed down to walk over to him but no deer. I saw where he made a big turn in the snow but no blood. I went down the first ravine and at the very bottom saw 2 small drops of blood. I was getting worried big time. About that time my buddy Scott was coming and said he thought he heard where he went down over another  hill and down a valley and he was there. Field dressed about 205 lb. If interested in a bow or primitive weapon hunt in Indiana, you can contact Daniel with information on this link.
