Jennifer Ratcliff of Canton, MS told this about her 220 lb. 12 point buck, "I was lucky enough to take this deer Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. I had gotten to my stand about 20 minutes late that morning and the sun was already coming up. Already a bad start. I got in my stand and waited. About an hr later I see a doe coming. I notice something behind her and all I could see were horns and nothing else. He was standing behind a thicket. He finally took a step out and stood behind a tree. I had no shot. He started grunting and trotted off with the doe. It was so thick that I only caught glimpses of him as he waved goodbye. I was just sick!! I text my husband and told him that I had just let a big buck get by me. So as I sat there and relived the sight in my head for about an hr and a half, I heard something coming. I turned to look and it was a doe and a fawn. Then I heard it, a grunt. I looked and about 30 yd away, there he stood. He stepped behind a tree and I grabbed my gun. When he stepped out, I took the shot. He ran maybe 15 yd. It's was one of the best hunts I have ever had!!"
