Chuck
McGinty submitted these pictures and wrote, "The pic of the deer with just
myself was killed on the evening of Dec.15th with my H&R .444. The
buck was a 19-1/2" 8pt chasing a doe.
The
very next evening I was hunting with my brother Chad, and good friend Jim.
I sat down in my stand at 2:55, at 3:05 I saw the 10 pt. in a thicket and
dropped him. Shortly after, my brother sent me a text disgusted at
my luck. I told him to just sit tight. It was early and the wind was
right and so was the temp. At 4:30, I heard him shoot. He said that
he had shot a big 8 pt. I got really excited. It was the first good
deer he had killed in several years, and we had just doubled on two really
good deer. Chad, my brother, is on the left in the pic. His 8 point
was 19 inches wide, I am on the right with a main frame 9 point with a 3
inch kicker, which makes him a 10 pt; he was 17-3/4" wide. This hunt will
no doubt remain in our memories as one of the best hunts ever. Thank you
Lord for blessing us!"
