"The deer came into the plot
        at 4:40 but never
got closer than about 200 yds, so we passed him.  He left the plot after
about 30 minutes and we were trying to stay positive in hopes that he
would come back.  He shows back up about
        5:20 and gets to
within 160-170 yds.  I asked Gage if he was on him and if he was steady
and he said yes, so I gave him the go ahead this time.  He squeezed the
trigger on his 7mm08 and the rest is history. This is Gage's best buck
to date and his longest shot also. Dad says  'This is the best deer
hunt that I have ever been a part of.  It had everything, highs, lows,
we were uncertain on shot placement and started not to go after the deer
until the next morning.  Some does gave him away by walking towards
where we last saw the buck and blowing so I figured he had to be down
just out of our sight. I'll never forget the excitement Gage
and I shared when we saw that the buck was down!  It is such a wonderful
blessing to be able to share God's great outdoors with the wonderful
family that he has blessed me with.'
I videoed the hunt, but haven't uploaded it to youtube yet.  It should
        be there shortly at
