Donna Rackley of Columbia shot this 156 pound seven point on family land in Marion county on January 10, 2015. The deer was crossing a power line at 9:30 AM when she made a 208 yard shot with her 7 mm 08. She had seen this same deer about 45 minutes earlier but it was nearly 800 yards away. Her husband used his rattling horns to try and get the buck's attention. She's not sure if the rattling made any difference, but the deer showed up a little later looking directly in her direction.
