8 Year old Gage Beard of Summit, MS harvested this doe with his compound bow the evening of January 9th in Copiah County. This is Gages first archery deer. Proud Dad Craig tells the story: "We were on a friends place in Copiah county. The blind we hunted had high windows designed for an adult Hunter to be able to stand and shoot a bow out of so we took a 5 gallon bucket with us. Gage was actually standing on a bucket when he arrowed the deer at 13-14 yds!!!  The shot was slightly high but caught the tops of both lungs and the deer only went about 30 yds. It was the proudest day of my hunting career. The Good Lord definitely had His hand in this one and we were sure to thank Him for the opportunity."
